I’m going to give everyone a little background information about myself. I grew up in a small town called Constantine, MI. Where the closest thing to hip-hop or rap we had access to was overplayed top 40 music. The best style people had was Abercrombie, Hollister, and American Eagle. Needless to say, my childhood is what you would call sheltered. Just a small town girl, living in a …. nah, I’m just kidding. But really though.

It wasn’t until I moved to East Lansing for college that I started delving deeper into the world of hip-hop culture. I’ve been fascinated ever since. Ultimately, I would like to get a job working for a hip-hop/style magazine. Something similar to Complex, XXL, or Vibe. Complex, of course, being my number one choice. I’ve decided to start using WordPress, working on basic HTML coding, and starting a blog to get ahead of my competition when I graduate, and for internships. My writing style can vary, but it’s fresh. I don’t think news, whether hip-hop or other, should be just for educational purposes. Entertainment and accurate information can be intertwined.

Anyways, I’m a Journalism major here in Lansing, hoping to double major in Photography, or get a specialization in Photography. There’s nothing too special about what I do at MSU. I do some freelance work on some publications. I do some volunteer work, try to stay employed and on top of my grades. I’m looking on working on some solo projects, starting website design, and some more ideas as well.

So the basis of this site is going to be the following. Hip-hop culture, music, Style, sneakers, gadgets and gizmos, and the occasional random post that people will say “This doesn’t belong here”. So take a look around and I hope you like what you see.
